Managing Messages

1. Open NextGenPxP Portal, and then from the dashboard or the left pane, select Messages.
The Messages page opens displaying the Inbox section.
Note: Messages sent by the practice with high priority appear with a high priorityindicator.

2. To view the contents of a message, select the message.
You can view your sent messages on the Sent tab.

3. To reply to a message, select Reply, compose your reply, and then select Send.

Note: If Reply is not available in a message, you can compose a new message by selecting Ask a Question.

4. To archive a message, open the message, and then select Archive.
Note: You cannot delete a message in NextGenPxP Portal. You can view your archived messages on the Archived tab.

5. To unarchive a message, open the archived message, and then select Unarchive.

Pay Bills without Logging on to Patient Portal

1. Open the Sign-In Page of the Patient Portal, Select Pay a bill. The Pay Here page opens.

2. Enter the necessary details.

3. Select “I’m not a Robot and submit your payment.”

Request Appointments

1. Open Patient Portal, and then from the dashboard select Appointments. The Appointments page opens.

2. Select Request Appointment.The Request Appointment page opens.

3. Select a provider from the search list or from the list of previously seen providers. The selected location or provider appears next to the map.

4. Select a provider, and then select Continue.

5. Select the preferred appointment time.

6. Enter the reason for visit, and then select Request Appointment.

Ask Questions to Practice

1. Open Patient Portal, and then do one of the following:
◦ From the left pane, select Ask a Question.
◦ From the Messages page, select Ask a Question.
◦ From the NextGenPxP Portaldashboard, select Ask a Question.
The What’s your message about? page opens.

2. Select a question category.

3. Enter the details in the fields.

Note:
◦ Emojis are not supported in the text fields.
◦ Continue becomes available only after you fill all the fields.

4. To add an attachment, select Choose File.
Maximum five attachments are allowed in the bmp, doc, png, jpg, xxl, pdf, tiff, txt, docx,
tif, xml, rtf, jpeg and, xlsx formats. The maximum permitted size of attachments is 2MB.

5. Select Continue.

6. Select Submit question.
The previously submitted questions appears on the Sent tab in the Messages page.

Submit Medication Renewal Requests

1. Open Patient Portal, and then from the dashboard or the left pane, select Medications.

The Medication page opens displaying the active and inactive medications.

2. Select Rx requestThe Rx Request page opens.

The Location and Provider fields display the preferred location and provider selected in the  My Account section. 

  1. Select the location and provider, and then select Continue
  1. Select a pharmacy from the list, and then select Continue

Note: You can add a pharmacy to the list by selecting Add a pharmacy

The Select Medications section opens displaying a list of active medications.

  1. Do one of the following: 

In the medication list section, select the medication, and then select Continue. To request a new medication, enter the medication name in Request a new medication  for the matching medications. 

You can select the medication from the list, and then select Continue

Note: The Request a new medication field is not available for NextGen®  

Enterprise6.2021.1 and earlier versions. 

The Confirm your renew details section opens displaying the details you entered on the  previous pages. You can edit the details if necessary. 

Submit Health Forms

1. Open Patient Portal, and then from the dashboard or the left pane, select Health Forms. The Health Forms page opens.

2. Select the provider and patient’s location.

3. Select the form to complete.

4. Complete the form, and then select Submit. The last completed date and time appears on the form. You can download the PDF version of the completed form.
