Our team draws from decades of experience implementing integrated care in clinical practice, and working in behavioral health, data analytics, healthcare policy, pharmaceuticals, venture capital, startups and academia.

Thomas Tsang, MD, MPH
CEO, Co-Founder
Tom implemented an integrated behavioral healthcare and primary care model at a community health center a decade ago for 40,000 patients and is now taking that experience to Valera Health. His former roles include CMO at Merck's Healthcare Services and Solutions, Congressional staffer, Medical Director at the Office of the National Coordinator and Advisor to the Governor of Hawaii.
Ofer Sharon, MD, MBA
President, Co-Founder
Ofer is a physician and entrepreneur with extensive experience in both clinical and commercial product development for startups in health tech, biotech, and medical devices. As the former Medical Director for Merck Israel, Ofer founded a big data research collaboration between the pharmaceutical industry and a large payer.
David Mou, MD, MBA
Medical Director, Co-Founder
David is a psychiatrist in the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean residency program. While pursuing his dual degree at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School, he worked for Fidelity Biosciences (a biotech venture capital firm), raised funding for startups and founded and sold a medical education company.
Noam Shahaf
VP, R&D
Noam formerly served as Head of Technology and Strategy in an elite technology unit in the Israeli Defense Forces. He is passionate about building innovative people-centered products, and brings more than 10 years of experience managing projects in IT and mobile technology, cyber security and business research.
Ilan Ben Tal
Mobile and Algorithm Developer
Ilan was formerly a mobile developer at Intel. He received his B.S. in Computer Software Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Engineering, where he was a Teaching Assistant for Android Development.
Noam Tzur
Web & Server Side Developer
Noam formerly worked as a Software Engineer at Quickode, VMWare and ORCAM. He received his B.S. in Computer Software Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Engineering.
Cho Weng
Care Management Specialist
Cho has more than 7 years of experience as a behavioral health care manager. She has deployed technology solutions for case management and behavioral activation at a Federally Qualified Community Health Center. Cho holds a B.S. in Psychology from University of Rochester.
Josephine Engreitz
Program Manager
Josephine is passionate about leveraging technology and human-centered design to solve complex problems. She received her B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management and minor in Global Public Health from Cornell University.
Arjun Manrai
Data Scientist
Arjun has over 10 years of experience working with large-scale clinical and genomic datasets. He holds a Ph.D in Bioinformatics and Integrative Genomics from Harvard-MIT. Arjun received his B.S. in Physics from Harvard College.
Raj Gadhe
Business Development Analyst
Raj is interested in using technology and preventative medicine to improve outcomes and reduce costs for patients worldwide. He has previous experience working in nonprofits and international health. Raj holds a B.S. in Biology from UCLA.
Jannine Versi, MBA
Program Manager
Jannine joins Valera after spending two years in the Obama Administration as a senior White House appointee. Previously, she worked in strategy, operations, and marketing at Google. Jannine holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and was a Fulbright Scholar.
Chandrika Samarth
Senior Director, Operations
Samarth previously worked with the HHS-funded Environment & Health Group and Partners Healthcare System. As an MIT Sloan Fellow, Samarth conducted research on factors related to Social Network Analysis and IT Governance that influence IT adoption in healthcare.
